Definitions
“Company” refers to Maxi Melbourne Airport Taxis. “Service” means any ride, transfer, parcel delivery, tour, or related service offered by the Company. “Passenger” or “You” refers to the person who books or uses the Service. “Driver” refers to the individual appointed by the Company to provide the Service.
Booking and Payment
- Bookings can be made via our website, phone, email, or any authorised platform. A confirmed booking is effective only after the Company accepts the booking and issues a confirmation.
- Payment options include card, online payment gateway, or cash as specified at the time of booking. For some bookings a deposit or full pre-payment may be required to secure the reservation.
- If payment is not received as required, the Company reserves the right to cancel the booking and charge applicable cancellation fees.
- All fares quoted include GST where applicable and any other statutory taxes unless otherwise specified.
Fares, Estimates and Surcharges
- Quoted fares are based on the information provided at the time of booking (pickup location, destination, vehicle type, time and any special requirements). Final fares may vary due to traffic delays, route changes, additional stops, flight variations, waiting time, or other circumstances beyond our control.
- Additional fees may apply for airport pick-up/drop-off, tolls, parking, excessive waiting time, pre-booked meet-and-greet services, extra stops, and heavy or bulky luggage. These fees will be communicated at booking or applied to the final invoice.
- The Company may apply dynamic pricing at peak times, public holidays, special events, or in case of extraordinary demand. Such pricing is applied fairly and in accordance with local regulations.
Cancellation and Refunds
- Cancellation policies vary by service type and will be presented at the time of booking. Standard cancellation terms apply unless an alternative arrangement is agreed in writing.
- Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a cancellation fee to cover driver allocation and operational costs.
- Refunds (when applicable) will be processed using the original payment method and may take a reasonable number of business days to appear, depending on the payment provider. Any administrative fees deducted will be disclosed at the time of cancellation.
Flight Monitoring and Delays
For airport pickups, we offer flight monitoring where requested. If your flight is delayed, our driver will adjust pick-up timing within a reasonable window. Extended delays may incur additional wait charges. It is your responsibility to inform us of any flight changes if flight numbers are not provided at booking.
Waiting Time
Reasonable waiting time is included for scheduled airport pickups and some pre-booked services. Waiting that exceeds the included allowance will be charged at the published waiting rate. Drivers will show reasonable patience at pickup points but are not required to wait beyond the agreed time without additional charges.
Passenger Conduct and Responsibilities
- Passengers must behave respectfully toward drivers and other passengers. Offensive, abusive, threatening or violent behaviour is prohibited and may result in termination of the ride without a refund and notification to relevant authorities.
- Passengers are responsible for their personal belongings. The Company is not liable for loss or damage to items left in a vehicle except where required by law.
- Children must be secured in appropriate child restraints where required by law. If you require child seats, request them at booking; additional charges may apply.
- No smoking, vaping or illegal substances are permitted in Company vehicles. Breaches may incur cleaning fees and other charges.
Luggage, Parcels and Goods
- Standard luggage allowances will be outlined at booking. Extra or oversised luggage may attract additional charges or require a larger vehicle.
- Parcels accepted for delivery must not contain prohibited, hazardous, or illegal items. The Company may refuse carriage of items it reasonably suspects to be dangerous or illegal.
- Value limits for parcels may apply; please check at booking. The Company’s liability for loss or damage to parcels is limited as described in the Liability section below.
Driver Standards and Safety
- Drivers are licensed and vetted in accordance with applicable local regulations. The Company conducts background checks and verifies driver eligibility as required by law.
- Drivers must follow the safest and most practicable route, comply with traffic laws, and may refuse to carry passengers who pose a safety risk.
- If you believe a driver has acted unprofessionally or unsafely, please report the incident promptly using the contact details below so we can investigate.
Insurance and Liability
- The Company maintains vehicle insurance as required by law. Insurance covers third-party liability and other statutory requirements. Coverage limits vary by policy and jurisdiction.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company’s liability for any loss, injury or damage arising from the provision of services is limited. Where laws do not permit limitation of liability, the Company’s liability will be limited to the minimum amount required by law.
- The Company is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of enjoyment resulting from service provision unless required by law.

Safety and Health
The health and safety of passengers and drivers is a priority. Passengers must not travel if they are knowingly carrying a contagious illness without informing the Company in advance. Drivers will follow reasonable health and safety protocols, and the Company may introduce measures to protect passengers and drivers (for example, sanitisation practices or temporary service adjustments) as required by public health guidance.

Force Majeure
The Company is not liable for failure or delay in providing services caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, strikes, government actions, severe weather, pandemics, road closures, or other events that make service provision unsafe or impracticable.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be severed and the remainder of the Terms will continue in full force and effect.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Company operates. Where mandatory local law applies, it will override any conflicting terms to the extent required.
